机械式直流断路器是柔性直流电网直流故障清除的重要手段,集成门极换流晶闸管(integrated gate commutated thyristor,IGCT)是机械式直流断路器的核心元件之一。在机械式直流断路器开断过程中,IGCT器件承受振荡衰减的浪涌电流。针对IGCT器件在机械式直流断路器开断过程中的温度分布,文中首先建立机械式直流断路器电路仿真模型,获取开断过程中IGCT器件承受的电流波形,然后建立IGCT电热耦合模型,研究了实际工况下的IGCT器件温度分布特性。研究结果表明在断路器开断过程中IGCT芯片阴极电极边沿处区域具有最高的温度和电流密度,为机械式直流断路器可靠性评估奠定了基础。
Mechanical DC circuit breaker is a key technology of DC fault removal in flexible DC power grid
and integrated gate commutated thyristor (IGCT) is one of the core components of mechanical DC circuit breaker. During the switching of a mechanical DC circuit breaker
the IGCT device is subjected to an oscillation-attenuated surge current. In view of the temperature distribution of IGCT devices during the breaking process of mechanical DC circuit breakers
this paper first establishes a circuit simulation model of mechanical DC circuit breakers to obtain the current waveform of IGCT devices during the breaking process
and then establishes an IGCT electro-thermal coupling model to study the temperature distribution characteristics of IGCT devices under actual working conditions. The results show that the edge area of the cathode in IGCT chip has the highest temperature and current density
which lays a foundation for the reliability evaluation of mechanical DC circuit breakers.
