双脉冲测试作为集成门极换流晶闸管(integrated gate-commutated thyristor,IGCT)的重要特性测试之一,常用于分析和评估器件的动态特性。但双脉冲测试中的回路杂散电感会在器件关断瞬间产生感应电压,和母线电压共同作用于IGCT产生过电压,过大的杂散电感不仅会导致动态特性测试出现误差,甚至可能损坏器件。针对这一问题,提出了一种利用粒子群优化(particle swarm optimization,PSO)算法减小回路杂散电感,优化IGCT双脉冲测试平台的方法。首先,搭建双脉冲测试回路中各元件的三维模型,包括IGCT夹具、二极管夹具和箝位电容,并对其空间布局进行参数化表示,然后综合考虑元件连接顺序、绝缘间距等因素,确定各参数的取值范围;再利用PSO算法计算得到使得回路杂散电感最小的平台空间布局;最后,通过电路仿真验证了所提方法能够有效抑制IGCT关断瞬间的过电压幅值,基于优化后的空间布局搭建了IGCT双脉冲测试平台并进行实验,对比实验结果和仿真结果可以发现,两者之间的误差始终保持在较小范围内,这进一步证明了所提方法的可行性。
The double pulse test is one of the important characterization tests for integrated gate-commutated thyristor (IGCT) and is commonly used to analyze and evaluate the device's dynamic performance. However
the stray inductance of the loop in double pulse test generates an induced voltage when the IGCT is turned off
which together with the bus voltage results in an overvoltage on IGCT. Excessive stray inductance can lead to errors in the dynamic characteristic measurement
or even damage the device.To address this issue
this paper proposes a novel approach to reduce the loop stray inductance and optimize the IGCT double pulse test platform using particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. First
the three-dimensional models of components in the double pulse test loop are developed
including the IGCT fixture
the diode fixture and the clamp capacitor. Their spatial configuration is parameterized for representation. The optimization range for spatial configuration parameters is defined
considering the constraints imposed by connection sequence and insulation spacing. Then
the PSO algorithm is employed to find the optimal spatial configuration of platform with the minimum value of stray inductance. Finally
the circuit simulation verifies that the proposed optimization approach can effectively suppress the overvoltage amplitude when the IGCT is turned off. The physical double pulse test platform is constructed based on the optimized spatial configuration
and the experiments are conducted. Comparing the experimental results and simulation results
it can be observed that the discrepancy between the two remains consistently within a small range
further demonstrating the feasibility of the proposed approach.
