This paper presents a design of integrating infrared temperature measurement into GIS.Because temperature of conductor contacts in GIS rises more quickly than that of other parts of conductors
spot infrared thermoscopes are installed at the key points to monitor the temperatures in time.The problems of conductor’s low emitting rate
the greenhouse effect of SF6 gas
and the leak tightness of GIS when installing or changing thermoscopes are analyzed.Therefore
a new scheme for on-line monitoring the temperature of key points in GIS is proposed.Implementation of this scheme will facilitate to find abnormal temperature rise and avoid burst accidents.
