In order to demonstrate the voltage distribution of MOA correctly
a new digital system for the measurement of voltage distribution on MOA resistor is introduced. The microprocessor of this system is based on MSP430 with lower power consumption
and applies ARM7 as the signal processor.Characteristic curves of voltage and current distribution of ZnO resistor can be obtained under any voltage level by laying sensors between every two resistors of the MOA
and asymmetry of voltage distribution can be reflected from the current waves displayed on the computer screen. Therefore
the system exhibits higher accuracy than conventional method. The results from ANSYS calculation and on-line test on 750 kV ZnO arrester verify its advantage.
