Parallel operation of arc suppressing coil apparatus with automatic follow compensation in different substations was discussed

and two key issues concerning parallel operation were pointed out.The first issue is to judge if the arc suppressing coils of different substations are in parallel operation condition;the second issue is how an arc suppressing coil automatically follows and measures capacitance current

and separately compensate for it.Therefore

three methods for parallel operation of arc suppressing coils in different substations were introduced and analyzed

i.e.central control method

carrier communication method

and fingerprint waveforms method.Their advantages and disadvantages as well as applicable scopes were also discussed.
