WC/Cu slip electrical contact materials were fabricated with powder metallurgy to improve the properties of electrical contact materials such as electric and thermal conductivity.The microstructure and the properties of the WC/Cu composite materials were tested.The results show that with WC content increasing
the density of the WC60~90/Cu composites rises from 11.508 g/cm3 to 13.305 g/cm3
hardness from HB187 to HB477
and conductive rate drops from 14.6 m/(Ω·mm2) to 10.6 m/(Ω·mm2).Moreover
the resistance to wear is remarkably enhanced.The abrasive wear and fatigue-based surface contact is the main abrasive mechanism
