Silver coating has been used extensively on the surfaces of high-voltage electrical apparatus for its better electrical and thermal conductirity.This paper analyses the reason of chameleon when the silvre coating reacts with corrosive medium under the condition of lighting
summarizes the evaluation criterion of corrosive chameleon and the experimental results
and proposes an effective measure to prevent silver coating from the illuminated corrosive chameleon.
