The circuit and its physics of the capacitive voltage divider were recounted
and the formula to calculate the capacitance of capacitive voltage divider was analyzed.A coaxial capacitive voltage divider for measuring the high voltage impulse voltage with rise time less than 10 ns was designed and then scaled by using a square wave generator and resistance voltage divider.The experimental result indicates that the present coaxial capacitive voltage divider is satisfactory for the measurement requirement.
