All kinds of soft-start schemes for electric machines are discussed and compared.A new magnetically controllable reactor soft-start scheme is proposed.During starting
the MCR is in series with the motor
which can ensure starting smoothly.The soft-start of the motor according to different load requirements
can effectively reduce the start inrush to the connecting power network.
