The circuit parameters of impulse rectangular current generator for energy enduring test of non-linear varistor are simulated and calculated
the relation between the parameters of circuit and the parameters of the impulse current waveform are derived. The theoretical calculation and testing results testify that selecting appropriate inductance L
whose values are reduced in turn according to a certain scale
can not only restrain overshoot of the wave front
but also lessen the amplitude descent of rectangular wave within the current duration. The impulse current waveform
according to IEC and GB standards
can be obtained in the wider dynamic non-linear varistor range environment.
