Abstract
A method of monitoring partial discharge from insulators based on acoustic emission (AE) is proposed
its feasibility and AE’s properties of different partial discharge patterns are studied by experiments in this paper. The test facilities and methods are introduced
the properties of AE wave of internal discharge
contaminant discharge and corona discharge from insulators are investigated by experiments and summarized respectively. Jamming and anti-jamming measures during AE identifying to insulator partial discharge are studied by experiments as well.
