Abstract
The internal partial discharge (PD) signal of large power transformer may propagate to the monitoring device through transformer winding. As a basic information for fault diagnostic
discharge pulse signal can be distorted with some attenuation
oscillation and time delay. Utilizing the simulation software Saber and the PD waves
considering the complex of external network of power transformer and the influence from another power transformer in substation
the propagation characteristic of PD signal is studied in a on-line monitoring system of large power transformer.
