Ferroresonance is a common phenomenon in the power system
the overvoltage and overcurrent generated by the ferroresonance will lower the power quality
and endanger the facilities in the power system. In this paper
a harmonic balance algorithm is applied to analyze the fundamental resonance of a typical ferroresonance circuit in a neutral grounded power network. The fundamental resonance region and safety region of the circuit can be found by using the algorithm. the Experimental validation of the algorithm is also investigate in the laboratory.
