This paper introduces a 220 kV inductive voltage divider with digital outputs using optoelectronic modules. This is a type of electronic voltage transformer with digital outputs
which can measure the high voltage of the power system and give suitable signals to the secondary measuring and relay protection instruments. It comprises some non-saturation inductors in series. The principle
construction and technical specification as well as test items and results for verification are presented. The results show that 0.2% of accuracy of the equipment can be obtained and the requirements which are given in IEC60044-7 can be satisfied. Therefore it can be applied in the HV electric power system.
