analyzing the relationship between the operat ing coil current waveform of the permanent magnet actuator(PMA)and the travel response of its movable armature
two equivalent circuit models of operating coi l are given by means of segmented linearization.Based on the coil current wavefo rms which have been obtained in the PMA design
the circuit parameters can be ca lculated in each segment
and the coil current waveform can be fitted.As compare d with the design and experiment results of the same mechanism
it is demonstrat ed that the methods for circuit modeling and calculating their parameters are ef fective.The proposed circuit models can be used to simulate and design the PMA c ontrollers
especially to select power electronic devices and parameters of thei r protection circuits.
