Abstract
The diagnosis method of discharge characteristics of gas switches through using two types of fiber sensor is in-troduced in this paper.Compared with the traditional elec-tro-magnetic sensors
the fiber one has more advantages un-der certain conditions.The experiments show that the fiber sensors can give the discharge characteristics of gas switches qualitatively
and the ultraviolet fiber sensor is more suitable for detecting the discharge starting time of gas switches.
