Precise triggering technology is one of the most important issues wi th high power pseudospark switch
for it has impact not only on the design of disc harge chamber of switch
but also on dynamic range of operation voltage
repeati tion frequency and lifetime of switch. The unique feature of pseudospark switch is of its hollow cathode geometry that produces hollow cathode effect
provides the protection for the triggering unit from erosion by high discharge plasma. T his paper deals with the design criteria of triggering of pseudospark switch
th en gives a review on the triggering methods with it.
