Nearly 20 different kinds of dyeing wastewater are treated using high voltage pulse. The experimental results show that the pulse current can effectively destroy the chromophoric group of the dye; the amount of the Chemical Oxygen Demand （COD） of samples during the treatment goes up obviously

so it is necessary to utilize the hydrates of the metal to finally reduce the amount of the COD of samples; the effectiveness of this treatment on different dyeing wastewater is influenced strongly by the shapes of the electrodes.
