According to the arrangement of thyristors in HVDC converter valve
the configuration of a high voltage resistive probe used for impulse voltage measurement has been designed especially.The dimension of the probe is determined by the op-timization results obtained by numerical simulation of electro-static field.In the meantime
the measured signal is transmitted to oscilloscope through an optoelectronic system with-3dB bandwidth of1MHz.Evaluation experiments for the whole mea-suring system are performed.Impulse voltage response is given accordingly.Experimental results show that the deviation of the linearity under switching impulse for the measuring system is within±0.15%.
