This paper presents the theoretical and experimental study results of the efficiency properties of impulse voltage generator under the operation wave. The results show that the decrease of load capacitance would result in increasing the efficiency. The decrese of wavefront resistance can raise the efficiency for the same load capacitance. On certain scope of load capacitance

by regulating the wave-front resistance

the effciency can be raised by increase of load. These results are of important practical meaning.
