Abstract
The basic structure and working mechanism of TVS (abbreviations of Triggered Vacuum Switches) are briefly introduced
while the processes of primary plasma pfoduction and expansion are analyzed. It proves that the expansion of primary plasma is the growth of near cathode plasma sheath. The dependence of trigger time delay and switching time delay on trigger unit structure and parameters is described.
