Abstract
Isoparametric FEM is applied to the 3-Delectrostatic field compu-tation in fuse-contactor and 15-node
quintuple prismatic elements are used for the discretization of the region. The automatic mesh generation is suitable for dif-ferent physical sizes and different density of elements. With the field intensity at any point and the length of any electrical line calculated
the inverse 3-D electro-static field problem can be solved. This numercal field calculation accuracy is veri-fied by comparing the numerical solution with the genuine value of the field around two parallel cylinder electrods.
