A corona model was improved to take the hysteresis-like q-v curve into account for the electromaganetic transient computation and was imple-mented in the EMTP. The distortion of unipolar damped oscillation impulse trave-ling along ah overhead line was computed by corona models with and without hys-teresis-like loop reflected

and the results were compared with each other and with the test results in the literature.
