Abstract
This paper derives the mathematical expression of charged particle density in vacuum arc subject to an axial maegntic fild under the assumption of stationary model and local thermodynamic equilibrium.The paper analyses the physical mechanism of the axial magnetic field exerting an influence one arc and the mechanism of the axial magnetic field being able to restrain anode spot formation in vacuum arc.
