Calculation Method of Activation Energy of Insualting Spacer Based on Leakage Current and Thermal Weightlessness
a key element of gas insulated metal closed switchgear (GIS)
is prone to insulation defects and aging cracking due to long-term electrical thermal stress
which is one of the main reasons for the failure of GIS equipment. The characterization of activation energy can effectively describe the deterioration degree of the insulating spacer material
so it is important to study the effective calculation method of activation energy during the deterioration process of the insulating spacer. In this paper
the thermal analysis kinetics is studied based on the accelerated aging test samples. The pyrolysis process of the insulating spacer is analyzed by traditional thermal weightlessness test
and the activation energy of the insulating spacer is calculated by Flynn-Wall-Ozawa method. Furthermore
a method for calculating conductive activation energy based on leakage current is set up to perform conductive activation energy calculation of different aging experiment samples. Finally
it is found through comparison and analysis with the traditional Flynn-Wall-Ozawa method that the calculation results and the aging correlation of the two methods are basically identical. Furthermore
the characterization means and correlation of the aging degree of the two methods are analyzed in theory. The above research provides theoretical guidance and experimental analysis for calculating activation energy of insulating spacer without damage
and helps to reveal the pyrolysis aging mechanism of the insulating spacer.
