Research on Influence of Key Parameters in Hybrid DC Circuit Breakers on Arc Current Commutation Characteristics
Vacuum arc current commutation is an important part in the interruption process in natural commutated hybrid DC circuit breaker (NHCB). In this paper
it is concluded through setting up the vacuum arc current commutation model of NHCB that the main factors influencing vacuum arc current commutation are vacuum arc voltage
internal stray resistance and inductance parameters and the series-parallel structure of power electronic devices. From the point of view of experiment
the influence of series-parallel structure of power electronic devices on the characteristics of arc current commutation is studied by changing the number of power electronic devices in series or parallel in the power electronic switch
and the influence influence of internal stray resistance and inductance parameters on the characteristics of arc current commutation is studied by changing the value and position of stray inductance or resistance in power electronic switches. Finally
the method to promote arc current commutation is explored. This research can provide theoretical foundation for the structure and parameter optimization of NHCB.
