Vacuum Arc Ignition and Ablation Characteristics of CuCr55 Electrode Contacts
as one of the most important contact materials in the field of electrical contacts
have been widely used in vacuum interrupter. CuCr55 contact materials are prepared by arc melting method and the micro-structures of fusion casting CuCr25
fusion infiltration CuCr50 and arc melting CuCr55 materials are compared and the vacuum arc ignition and ablation characteristics of arc melting CuCr55 contacts are particularly analyzed. A high-speed camera is used to photograph the arcing characteristic of short circuit current and the critical current for generating anode spots is obtained. The electron microscope is used to observe the micro-morphology of the contact surface after ablation
the material fracture
fine cracks or significant bulging are not happened on the contact surface. The research results show that the arc melting CuCr55 contacts have a micro structure with fine and uniform chromium particles
diffuse distribution of micro structure spheroidization
