Research and Engineering Practice on Cooling of TFM Board for UHVDC Converter Valve
The DC voltage equalizing resistors in the TFM board for UHVDC converter valve has high operating temperature and obvious hidden danger in application. In this paper
an improved resistance cooling improvement scheme compatible with the original board design and interface is proposed on the basis of theoretical analysis as well as through simulation and test. The feasibility and reliability of the proposed scheme are further verified based on such tests as thermal stress
vibration
partial discharge and board function. The engineering application of the improved scheme and its temperature measurement results show that the proposed scheme is compatible with the original TFM board design and interface and
at the same time
reduces the operating temperature of resistor remarkably.
