Aging State Assessment of Cable Sheath Protector Based on High-order Harmonic Ratio of Leakage Current
The zinc oxide cable sheath protector in power system is an important equipment to assure the safety of the cable supply and its operating condition will directly affect the safety of the line. Due to the long-term influence of various overvoltages
the cable sheath protector is susceptible to aging
resulting in significant deterioration of its performance. The leakage current analysis-based condition detection is important for predicting the aging state of the cable sheath protector. In this paper
the high frequency characteristics of the cable sheath protector after impact aging are studied by using the lightning impulse aging method
and a diagnostic test index for the aging state based on the high harmonic ratio of the leakage current is proposed
which tends to increase gradually with the increase of aging. Therefore
it can be used to effectively assess the aging state of the cable sheath protector and provide technical support for the detection of the aging state of the cable sheath protector.
