Study on Photoacoustic Sensors for Transformer Oil-dissolved Gas Detection Based on Finite Element Method
Photoacoustic gas sensors are well applied in transformer oil-dissolved gas detection. In this paper
the distribution of Photoacoustic(PA) signal in PA cell of photoacoustic sensors during transformer oil-dissolved gas detection is simulated based on the software COMSOL Multiphysic 3.2
which couples multiple physical parameters
and the cavity resonant characteristics and variation of PA signal with gas concentration are theoretically analyzed. And experimental investigation to the detection feature of ethylene photoacoustic spectrum is conducted. Both the theoretical and experimental data may support the design of PA sensors for trace gas detection
especially the optimum geometric design of PA cell.
