In order to study the electrical aging mechanism of void defects in amorphous polymer
partial discharge(PD) characteristics of artificial void defect samples and floating electrode have been detected.PD initial voltage
PD magnitudes
waveforms and statistic characteristics can be changed by the change of void states. The PD behaviors also imply that ‘residual ions’ plays an important role at the end of the PD process. The electrical aging phenomenon
caused by void defects in amorphous polymer
has close relationship with residual ions’ magnitudes.
