the stray capacitance between earth and resistance ship of seamless MOA imposes significant effect on the potential distribution of the MOA.This paper experimentally analyzes the potential distribution of an MOA for 750 kV alternating-current system by adopting the optical fiber measurement system developed by the authors. This measurement system is composed of electric current sensor
optical fiber
signal processing unit and computer. With the system an MOA for 750 kV alternating-current system is tested under operation voltage
and the current distribution diagram is obtained. The current distribution diagram is then transformed into potential distribution one through simple process. The measured potential distribution shows a good consistency with the theoretical one from the finite element analysis software ANSYS
which verifies the validity of this optical fiber measurement system.
