Effect of Electrode Structure on the Parameters of Dielectric Barrier Discharge
In order to optimize the structure of dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) reactor and improve discharging efficiency
a needle array structure of copper stick electrodes is presented. The effects of five different electrode structures on the main parameters of discharge are studied by Q-V Lissajous figures in DBD experiment system. The five electrode structures include: smooth copper stick electrode
screw thread copper stick electrode
and three needle array copper stick electrodes with different spacing. The results show that increasing voltage can effectively enhance DBD power
average current and the amount of charge transferred in a cycle
and that the parameters of three needle array copper stick electrodes are larger than that of other two electrodes under the same voltage. With the applied voltage increasing
the equivalent capacitance of the air gap of the needle array copper stick electrodes increases
while that of the screw thread copper stick electrode and the smooth copper stick electrode decreases.Thereby
needle array copper stick electrode is more suitable for the removal of volatile organic compounds
