The intelligentization of electrical equipment in substation

is the key technology for construction of smart grid.It has attracted much attention in present researches.This paper reviews the technical features in intelligentizing renovation of the electrical equipment

relating to integrated control technology

sensing technology

power electronic technology

information exchange technology

anti-electromagnetic interference technology and signal processing technology

etc.In addition

the existing problems in the intelligentization are analyzed

and an outlook of the development trend is given.
