higher insulation capability of its internal components is required

therefore online insulation detection of the components is necessary.In this paper

the acoustic emission technique is employed to detect partial discharge in switchgear

and provide criteria for judgment of partial discharge in switchgear by analyzing various acoustic emission intensities.Consequently

online detection of the insulation performance of switchgear without outage is realized to effectively enhance safety and reliability of the switchgear equipment.
