Design and Application of Wireless Temperature Monitoring System for Switchgear Assemblies Based on Zigbee Technology
A wireless temperature monitoring system based on Zigbee technology for high-voltage equipment was designed to detect the overheat-induced fault of switchgear assemblies. The system adopts the distributed hierarchical structure of decentralized measurement and centralized monitoring. The system takes the low-power microcontroller PIC16F690 as its control core and the digital temperature sensor DS18B20 as temperature acquisition device
and uses Zigbee wireless communication module for data communication to achieve a multi-cabinet
multi-channel temperature monitoring. The system has the advantages of low power consumption
good anti-jamming performance
high sensitivity
simple operation
etc.
and it can realize real-time monitoring of temperature for high-voltage equipment
particularly for switchgears
in the enclosed high-voltage
strong magnetic field and large current circumstance.Application of the system demonstrates its merits.
