Spectral Characteristics of Sinusoidal Excitation Plasma Jet Produced in Atmospheric Air
This paper reports the results concerning the production of atmospheric-pressure plasma jets and its optical spectrum characterization. The discharge was produced by applying a sinusoidal voltage of frequency 5
2
0 kHz and potential difference of 0
2
0 kV across the electrodes. The discharge was characterized by measuring current and voltage with a high frequency digital oscilloscope. The optical spectrum characterization was made by taking the spectrums of discharge by optical emission spectrometer. The optical spectra in the range of 200 nm to1 100 nm have been analyzed in order to determine the influence factors of atmospheric-pressure plasma jets. The main influence factors of APPJs discharge is the amplitude of applie
d voltage
and the secondary factor is the frequency. The influence of gas flow rate on discharge is different by gas composition. moreover emission spectral of APPJs in pure argon can only observe spectral of Ar but Ar2
