Method for Predicting Steady-state Temperature Rise of Conductor
Steady-state temperature rise is one of the most important parameters in high-voltage apparatuses design. The calculation of steady-state temperature rise of a conductor depends on the determination of its surface heattransfer factor(SRF)
relating to heat conduction
convection and radiation. This paper puts forward a model for revealing the relations between SRFs of similar conductors
and presents an electric-thermal coupling simulation based method for estimating the steady-state temperature rise of a conductor in high-voltage apparatus. If the steadystate temperature rise of a given conductor is known
the steady-state temperatures rise of similar conductors can be simulated by using the proposed method. The proposed model and method are verified by prediction of the steadystate temperature rise of a contactor blade in a power equipment.
