Contamination Degree Evaluation Model for Insulator Based on Surface Polluted Layer Conductivity
The contamination extent of polluted insulators can be evaluated quantitatively by reasonably selecting the features that can characterize the operation state of polluted insulators and establishing scientific mathematical models
so as to provide a reliable basis for the maintenance of transmission lines. In this paper
by means of artificial pollution test
the pollution layer conductivity values of five typical structures of insulator with different pollution degrees are obtained. The test results are fitted and calculated by using the least squares method to get a mathematical evaluation model of insulator contamination degree
and the model is verified by experiments. This study may be applied to insulator’s pollution flashover assessment and warning.
