Study on Insulator Flashover Under Pollution Status in Intermittent High Speed Train Wind
The flashover influent factors on the insulator surface in the intermittent high speed train wind based on the discussion of the development of both AC and DC flashover model in nature ambient. In the high speed wind
the pressure on the insulator surface
the speed distribution of the wind and its characteristics change a lot compared with normal cases. In this environment
pollution
fog
and the rain will regularly distribute in short time
and this will form a discharge channel
yield arc and finally lead to flashover. When the insulator surface is dry
the high speed wind will bring some charges on it
the uneven distributed charges will make the electric field distorted and cause the flashover at last.So the pollution particle accumulation character on the insulator surface is analyzed to study the flashover. At the same time
the thickness of boundary layer changes with the wind
so the arc blow effect exists for some extent.According to the relationship of the wind speed and the flashover critical voltage
