Three-phase current unbalance of hybrid-gas insulated switchgear(HGIS) will occur in operation. In order to analyze the reasons for the problem
a series of tests and factory disintegration inspection for HGIS are carried out. Results shows that SO2 concentration in SF6 gas decomposition severely exceeds the specified level. C-phase loop contact resistance increases seriously
and no signal is detected in C-phase switching time test. Meanwhile
three-station line switch contact has damaged for ablation. Analysis shows that the contact erosion is caused by factors such as design defects
unqualified installation etc..Investigations for the same type of HGIS are carried out
and several similar problems are found. Aiming at these problems
it is suggested that manufacture should improve in the design and installation process. At the same time
it should strengthen the on-line monitoring of the operation HGIS
and try to avoid using three-station line switch for line grounding.
