Simulation Analysis of Mechanical Behavior of High Voltage Tower-Line Coupled System Under Strong Typhoons Part Ⅰ: Static Response Analysis
Hurricane accident occurred frequently in high voltage transmission lines under strong typhoon
which proposed the demand of the simulation analysis of mechanical behavior of tower-line coupling system. Based on typical tower structure of a 220 kV transmission line in Guangdong
a finite element model of a multi-tower-line coupled system
including three towers and two span lines
is established using the development environment of international finite element method program ANSYS. Then
in the design wind speed
the static response analysis of the coupled model is carried out at 0
45
60 and 90 degree of wind angle
and the static response results of the middle transmission tower in the above coupled system are compared with the quasi-static analytical results of the solo tower. It is found that considering the effects of tower-line coupled
the displacement response of the tower increases substantially less than 3%
and the increment of axial compressive stress is more significant. The results show that the wind resistant design method of the current iron tower has certain limitations
