Simulation Analysis of Mechanical Behavior of High Voltage Tower-Line Coupled System Under Strong Typhoons Part Ⅲ: Comparison of Dynamic and Static Response
Wind-induced tower collapses of high voltage transmission line is an important factor affecting the safe operation of the power system in recent years. In this paper
based on typical tower structure of a 220 kV transmission line in Southern Power Grid
considering the tower-line coupling effect
a finite element model of a multi-tower-line coupled system
including three towers and two span lines
is established using the development environment of international finite element method program ANSYS. Then
constant load under design wind speed and time-varied load are respectively applied in the coupled system
and the static and dynamic responses of displacement and axial compressive stress in the above system are compared. The analysis shows that dynamic response values of the displacement and force of tower are significantly larger than that of the static response
which can be used to analyze the reliability of transmission line under wind loads.
