Investigation into Electromagnetic Shielding Effectiveness of Intelligent Measurement and Control Device in Substation
To enhance the anti-electromagnetic interference capability of intelligent electronic devices in a substation
the shielding effectiveness of an intelligent measurement and control device was analyzed. The finite element method was adopted to establish a 3D full-wave electromagnetic field model for simulation of the electromagnetic field distribution in the device box. Accordingly
the shielding effectiveness was analyzed in the case of different incident directions and polarization directions of the plane electromagnetic waves
and the PCB board connecting to ground or not. Moreover
the simulation method was verified by experiment in a gigahertz transverse electromagnetic(GTEM) cell. This study may provide theoretical and practical bases for further improving the anti-jamming capability of the intelligent measurement and control device.
