Computational Investigation of Micro Water Treatment in GIS Gas Chamber Based on Fluid and Solid Mutual Coupling
The excessive presence of micro water in a GIS seriously affects its internal insulation. To ensure the safe operation of the power grid
it is necessary to study and develop a simple
efficient and reliable method to process the excessive micro water. In the present work
a new method to deal with the excessive micro water in high pressure GIS chamber has been proposed. According to the structural features of the GIS breaker and CT tank
the relationships between heating device
heat transfer medium and the internal objects in the gas chamber are discussed. A mathematical model for the thermodynamics of the liquid-solid coupling process is developed based on consideration of the coupling characteristics. Modelling based on Fluent has been carried out for the coupling process of liquid and solid in the micro water treatment process with heating and the temperature of the container wall and gas inside is calculated. Based on the relationship between temperature and water content
the influence of temperature on the water content inside the chamber is discussed and the heating power is optimized. Results show that the proposed method has remarkably increased the internal gas temperature
promoting the liquid water attached to the internal solid surface to precipitate. This will reduce the amount of field work while increase the treatment efficiency of micro water.
