Influence of Connection Mode on Frequency Response of Distribution Transformer Winding
Based on the experiments of a 200 kVA 3-phase power transformer(S11-M-200/10)
the effect of terminal connections on frequency response analysis(FRA) results is studied. Highlight on the effect of transformer casing grounding status
direction of the injected voltage
and status of the non-test windings. This analyzed results show that different terminal connections lead to huge differences between each FRA curves. Wrong or different terminal connections might lead to different waveform of FRA and misinterpretation of the results. Therefore
it is suggested that the measurement of the frequency response curve of the transformer should be consistent with the experimental conditions.
