Study on High Speed Vacuum Switch Based on Permanent Magnetic Repulsion Mechanism
easy realization of electronic control and intelligent switch
high speed vacuum switch based on permanent magnetic repulsion mechanism has attracted the attention of scholars both at home and abroad. In order to improve the speed of permanent magnetic repulsion mechanism and to provide technical support for the high speed vacuum switch
this paper studies the influence factors of permanent magnetic repulsion mechanism by using the finite element method. After the simplified model of permanent magnetic repulsion mechanism is built by Maxwell
the opening operation performance is simulated by different masses of moving partand size of metal repulsion plate
different parameters of external circuit by the single variable method. A prototype of 12 kV high speed vacuum switch is made according to the simulation results. Simulation result appears the lower mass of moving part and the higher voltage of charging capacity lead to higher speed of mechanism. The experimental results agree well with the simulation and it shows that the switch can open in 5 ms reliability
and the disposability of opening operation is less than ±0.2 ms. In the meantime
in order to improve the opening velocity of the switch
a new method is proposed that is punching in the metal plate to reduce the mass of moving parts. Because punch holes are along radial direction
eddy current effect cannot be affected. It is also verified by the experimental results.
