Analysis and Optimization of Axial Magnetic Field Characteristics of a 2/3 Tune Coil-type Contacts for 126 kV Vacuum Interrupter
For determining the optimum design parameters of a 2/3 turn coil-type contact with axial magnetic field(AMF) for a 126 kV vacuum interrupter
the combined experimental design-finite element calculation-statistical analysis method is adopted to conduct single factor analysis and orthogonal regression analysis on AMF characteristics of the contact. The contact gap
single coil height
coil width
and slot length of contact plate are chosen as optimized parameters
and the axial magnetic flux density at current peak
phase shift time
and conductor resistance are chosen as optimized targets. Regression equations of AMF characteristics and contact parameters
as well as the contact parameters
which have significant influences on AMF characteristics
are obtained. Multiple objective optimization of the axial magnetic flux density at current peak
the phase shift time
and the conductor resistance is performed to achieve optimal values of the contact parameters. It is concluded that AMF characteristics become optimal when the contact gap is 20 mm
the single coil height is 15 mm
the coil width is 20 mm
and the slot length of contact plate is 30 mm. After optimization
the axial magnetic flux density at current peak increases to 0.565 T
the phase shift time decreases to 0.729 ms
and the conductor resistance decreases to 19.885 μΩ
