Optimal Design of Storage Capacitor of Electromagnetic Repulsion Mechanism in 40.5 kV Vacuum Circuit Breaker Based on Orthogonal Test Design
The electromagnetic repulsion mechanism can improve the opening speed of the 40.5 kV vacuum circuit breaker
thus improve the stability of whole power system. In this study
three main factors
i.e.
number of coil turns
storage capacitance and charging voltage
were selected to comprehensively determine the minimum energy of storage capacitor of electromagnetic repulsion mechanism for the 40.5 kV vacuum circuit breaker. Based on the principle of orthogonal test design
three levels were set for each factor and nine tests were conducted. Then
numerical simulation tests were conducted via finite element modeling. Finally
regression analysis on the test data and optimization were performed. The results show that among the three factors
charging voltage has the most significant influence on the motion performance
storage capacitance ranks second
and number of coil turns ranks third. The regression equation of moving velocity of repulsion disk with the three factors is v=-10.583+0.071N+0.018U+0.169 C. Eventually
it is concluded that the energy of storage capacitor gets the minimum 3.6 k J when charging voltage is 600 V
storage capacitance is 20 m F and number of coil turns is 20.
