Effects of Micrometeorological Parameters and Icing Time on Icing of Transmission Line
Micrometeorology has a decisive influence on the ice formation on transmission line. However
studies on the relation between icing on transmission line and micrometeorology are not sufficient. In this study
simulation test of icing in varying micrometeorological environment was conducted to investigate the relations of ice mass increment with environmental temperature
wind speed
amount of precipitation
and icing time by using the control variate method. Results show that the ice mass increment exhibits quasi parabolic function relations with the environmental temperature
wind speed
and amount of precipitation
respectively
which means that there must exist the most favorable environment temperature
wind speed and amount of precipitation for formation of icing. In addition
the increment speed of icing keeps constant
which is independent of icing time but only relates to variation of the micrometeorological parameters.
